I wore my 7 mm suit, and my too tight hood, which choked me during the whole dive, and managed to land 3 more walleyes. 31", 10 lb, 29" 8 lb and the 3rd was about 5 to 6 lb. I gave it to someone before going back home. These were my first walleyes (bass is not open until June 15). Sebastien got a smaller walleye... his first too. The currents were between 3 to 4 knots... Great cardio workout! :) Once you hit the bottom, 30 ft below, you don't fin, you don't move... you stretch out your arm with the gun, and enjoy the ride!!!... if you cross a walleye, you barely have the time to take a shot... the current drifted us so fast, we had to watch out for the incoming rocks! I had one problem though which forced me to call it a day... The last hour of diving, my mask was getting "foggy", at reasonable intervals first, then so quickly, it would be completely blurry before I reach the bottom... I tried everything... even changed the mask... the second one did exactly the same... The water was very cold and my face was boiling hot... could it be the reason? I rubbed the inside with algae, spit in it several times, multiple rinsing... nothing would do... If Ata is free next weekend, René, Sebastien and I would go down to RI for 2 days for some SALT water! I miss it soooo much! Hope Ata would've found me the 3 mm hunter wet suit I requested. Changing subjects.... Sunday the 26th of May, my Sporting Clays team won the first prize in Quebec city... we had the highest score (5 shooters totaling 423 / 500 clays). BIG trophy! I was the only one shooting with a 20 gage shotgun. Yesterday, Sunday June 1st, I used my Winchester 12 gage shotgun for the Challenger Quebec Sporting Clays Championship. It misfired 7 times!!! (a misfire is a lost pigeon during a comp)... I was heading for the first place... ended up in the 7th position. The gun kicked me so bad too, my right cheek was all swollen and bleeding. My face is a mess today... it will take 2 weeks to heal! Hope I won't need a face-lift after that!
